Financial Controller

Job description

As financial controller, you support the business with high-quality reports that you present via the BI tool. For certain business units you will take on the job of business controller and here you will advise management on the use of targeted analyses and reports. You will therefore introduce and improve the necessary tools. You are proactive and provide warnings for imminent risks so that there can be a rapid response.

As Financial Controller within the Viabuild Group you are responsible for the following tasks:

• You make the annual budget in consultation with the business controllers.
• You are responsible for the monthly management reporting and the monitoring of the order book and general costs.
• You analyse and monitor the efficiency of the internal technical support services.
• You are responsible for budgeting and monitoring the results of the asphalt and concrete plants.
• You monitor the results of all the business units.
• You are responsible for a correct presentation in the BI-tool.
• You formulate proposals concerning KPIs and follow-up KPIs.
• You identify profit potential based on thorough analyses.
• You analyse the internal processes and formulate proposals for improvement.
• You perform ad hoc analyses at the request of management.

In this position you report to the Group Controller. You work closely with the Controlling team.

 

Profil

• You preferably have a Master’s degree in a financial/economic field and you can look back on 5 years of experience.
• As Financial/Business Controller you analyse cost flows on the basis of figures. You make connections between seemingly unrelated facts, you actively search for the causes of cost shifts; you understand the story behind the figures.
• You can reduce complexity to the core.
• You are not only strong with figures, but also with people. Thanks to your good social and communicative skills, you build close relationships with many departments and employees.
• You have a strong affinity with IT, good Excel skills are indispensable in your job.
• You are efficient/ strong analytical/ accurate/ no-nonsense/ hands-on/ deadline oriented.
• You have an excellent knowledge of Dutch (spoken and written), French and you can also express yourself fluently in English, so that you can cooperate with all services and employees.
