Job description

• You are partly responsible for the further implementation and safeguarding of the entire safety policy of Viabuild Group.
• You help to further develop the safety systems in the company.
• You coach managers and employees in the areas of welfare, safety and health.
• You participate in toolbox meetings, safety meetings, among other things, where you make the direct employees aware of the importance of a thorough prevention policy.
• As a prevention advisor, you are regularly present on the shop floor, in the warehouses, power stations and on the sites to monitor safety.
• You ensure that the legislation concerning prevention, safety and welfare at work is correctly followed and applied.
• You advise on the organisation of the workplace, the workstation, the ambient factors, the work equipment and the individual equipment.
• You identify and analyse risks, translate these into actions and measures, and draw up global prevention plans, annual action plan and annual reports.
• You investigate, report and advise on the prevention of occupational accidents and incidents.
• You coordinate the cooperation with external partners and are also jointly responsible for maintaining the VCA** certificate.
• You are prepared to give safety training courses, training and information sessions.
• You assist in the implementation of quality and improvement in the workplace. You carry out workstation analyses, optimise working methods and draw up work instructions in accordance with the ISO-Lean principles.
• You offer support to the study department in the field of risk analyses in the composition of tender dossiers.

You report to the HSEQ Manager.

 

Profile

• You have a strong personality with 3 to 5 years of experience as a prevention advisor or several years of experience with safety in the construction sector (road works) and hold a level-2 prevention advisor certificate.
• You are a good communicator (both written and oral). You have an excellent knowledge of Dutch and French.
• You can easily constructively translate the item ‘prevention and safety in the workplace’ to employees.
• You have the necessary sense of responsibility, the ability to work independently, attention to detail and flexibility in dealing with multiple tasks.
• You distinguish yourself by your organisational talent, your accuracy, your methodical and pragmatic approach.
• You can work well in a team and you are keen on social contacts, without losing sight of the corporate objectives.
