Project Manager Road Works (Mechelen)

Job description

As Project Manager Road Works, you are ultimately responsible for the projects assigned to you. You guarantee a high-quality technical, administrative, financial and commercial follow-up of the projects.

• You develop and manage projects relating to planning, budgeting, organisation and implementation. You use people and resources efficiently.
• You carefully prepare the projects and ensure that they are carried out as planned.
• You supervise the site manager and oversee the activities and the site administration.
• You are responsible for strict compliance with safety and environmental regulations on site.
• You monitor the qualitative delivery of the end result.
• You monitor the budgets in order to complete the project optimally within the set deadlines and budgets.
• You closely monitor the execution times and the site and adjust where necessary.
• You prepare the progress reports.
• You maintain constructive discussions and contacts with customers, subcontractors, etc. with regard to the agreements made.
• You will deal with various departments such as purchasing, costing, dispatching and asphalt manufacturing plants.

You will report directly to the BU Manager Road Works.

 

Profile

• Ideally you are a qualified industrial engineer.
• In this position, we expect a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a project manager in the construction industry.
• You are results-oriented with an eye for efficiency, purposefulness and return on investment.
• You work punctually, accurately and systematically.
• You have good communication skills, are fluent in Dutch and hold your own in French.
• You have a due sense of responsibility, are able to operate on a self-reliant basis, have an eye for detail and are flexible in dealing with multiple duties.
• You pay attention to detail and flexibility while managing multiple tasks.
