2025 Sem.1
What is the CO2 Performance Ladder?
The CO2 Performance Ladder is an instrument that helps companies reduce CO2 emissions.
Objectives for companies:
- Acquire knowledge about their own CO2 emissions and those of their suppliers (insight)
- Continuously look for new opportunities to reduce emissions resulting from their own operations and projects (reduction)
- Implement the chosen reduction measures (reduction)
- Share the acquired knowledge transparently (communication)
- Work actively with colleagues, knowledge institutions, social organizations, and governments to find ways to collectively further reduce emissions (participation)
Additional information about the CO2 Performance Ladder can be found on the SKAO website: https://www.co2-prestatieladder.be/nl

Certificate CO2 Performance Ladder level 4 (version 3.1) Viabuild (NL-FR-EN)
Viabuild started acquiring knowledge about its own CO2 emissions in 2021. To this end, data on energy and fuel consumption for the reference year 2021 were mapped.
The results are included in the CO2 emission inventory report.

Viabuild actively participates in at least one (sector or chain) initiative in the field of CO2 reduction.
List of Chosen Initiatives – Requirement 3.D.1
Progress is assessed against the CO2 emissions of the reference year 2021. CO2 emissions are always related to turnover to allow comparison over several years.
As an organization, we aim to communicate transparently about our performance. To this end, a newsletter is sent out semi-annually.
